Students and Young people
My training sessions for students and young people are aimed towards building life skills and developing soft skills in them. The training includes activities and quizzes that promote self-reflection and focus on converting the weaknesses of a learner into their strengths. Some sessions also encourage parental participation thereby ensuring that the learnings from the session translate into action that is backed by the family.
Participants have reported improvement in confidence levels as well as clarity of thought and action in the long run. Many participants have achieved goals that have been set during the session. Many participants have also reported developing hard skills like time management and multitasking.
Educators - Teachers and Principals
Many of my sessions with the educators are taken up with a clear agenda or challenge mitigation target in mind. The sessions focus on experience sharing between the trainer and participants but also between the participants. Based on training needs shared by the management of the institution clubbed with observations from classroom audits, I design these sessions to address specific challenges. The inputs in these sessions include child psychology, child personality identification and management of the same.
These sessions result in a classroom that has happy children as the teacher is equipped with specific skills to manage children of various personalities while also being stress-free themselves. All this means that the class is conducted well and the teacher need not shout to put their point across or to manage unruly children. These inputs have also resulted in a better bond between children and teachers and to a certain extent a positive impact on learning.
Working Professionals
Most of the sessions for working professionals are conducted with school leadership and management. These sessions are designed to identify the root causes of stress points through fun activities and tools like Stress-O-Meter. The sessions use and quote a lot of case studies that help the participants identify challenges in their operations and leadership while also understanding the strategies to combat such challenges. At the fag end of the session, participants design their self-growth chart based on the pointers shared during the session.
Many school leaders have reported reduced levels of work and management related stress and also increased efficiency in their day to day work. When the leadership of an institute is stress-free, it has a positive cascading impact on the teachers, parents and also children which has been reported by a lot of participants and their team members. The training session, therefore, has a positive impact on the overall efficiency of the institute itself in the long run.
Parents
A lot of parenting-related stress and fractured parent-child relationships are due to simple errors in communications as well as lack of understanding. My sessions with parents delve into these aspects and share the child's point of view with the parents. It includes critical inputs on modern parenting, it challenges and mitigation strategies. The sessions also focus on child safety and child psychology. Given that the point of view of parents and children is discussed dispassionately in these sessions, they always end up being win-win for both.
Participants of the positive parenting sessions have reported great improvement in the relationship with their children and an increased bond between them and the child in many cases. The inputs received in these sessions have also led to a great reduction in cases of corporal punishment employed by the parents.
